Floral and Art Classes
Who hasn't tucked a beautiful leaf or flower in a book somewhere thinking it's so beautiful, I just have to save it? I know I have. But then I started getting serious about it and cannot stop! In this class, you will be given your very own professional flower press and learn how to preserve these beautiful bits of nature for the long run. You will then have the opportunity to create your own floral composition in a gorgeous two sided glass frame with pre-pressed flowers. We will also inspire you to keep creating at home by showing you other ways you can create with your very own pressed flowers! We think you will be hooked just like us!
Meet Doraine Glidden! She is a local mosaic artist who loves repurposing and creating things. She says "It's an art form that allows me so much creative freedom and there seems to be no end to what can be used for materials. In my mind it's like I'm making a puzzle, putting it together, piece by piece. I hope to keep this ancient art form interesting and relevant for many years to come."
Doraine has designed a class for anyone curious about mosaic arts. Her goal is to help you create something beautiful right away and to teach you the skills you need to make your own work anytime! All materials will be provided for you to create your own 8x8 tile and you will even leave with your own set of nippers so you can continue to create mosaic art on your own!
